Edo Queens head coach, Moses Aduku has said his team will fight hard to impress at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier.
The Nigerian champions will face Ghana’s Hasaacas Ladies, Omnisports Etincelle FC of Burkina Faso, and AS Garde Nationale of Niger in Group B.
Reacting to the draw, Aduku said his players will do their best to secure a place in the main tournament.
“We have seen the draws, we know that Nigeria and Ghana are age-long rivalries in the round leather game, ” Aduku told the club’s media.
“We are going out to Cote d’Ivoire to play football not for jamboree, every team participating in this Champions League is important, we are going there with one thing in mind which is to play and win. So it is a serious business for Edo Queens and for Nigeria.”
Cote d’Ivoire will host the competition from August 10 to August 23.
Matches will be played at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux Stadium.
