Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, wants the club to sign Mateo Kovacic from Manchester City this summer, according to Fotomac.

It is understood Mourinho has given the green light for a potential loan move for the 30-year-old.

Kovacic only joined City last summer from Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

The Croatian has three years left on his contract at the Etihad.

Mourinho is a big admirer of Kovacic and has identified him as a player that can strengthen his midfield.

Kovacic made 46 appearances in all competitions for City last season.
