Two France internationals, Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou have been arrested in Argentina over allegations of sexually assaulting a woman, BBC Sport reports.
The two Rugby union players were detained in Buenos Aires on Monday and will be transported to Mendoza.
Their lawyer, Rafael Cuneo Libarona, said the duo denied the allegation.
Jegou, 21, and Auradou, 20, are part of the France squad on a tour of South America.
The France squad stayed in Mendoza on Saturday after their 28-13 Test win against Argentina.
The two players both made their international debuts in France’s win over Argentina.
Speaking on the development, French Rugby Federation president, Florian Grill said: “If the facts are proven, they are incredibly serious.
“We will reserve the results of the investigation.”
