Former England international, Michael Owen, has given his verdict on Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo amid the ongoing Euro 2024.
Ronaldo is yet to score a goal for Portugal at Euro 2024.
The 39-year-old featured in Portugal’s victories against Czech Republic and Turkey.
Speaking ahead of of Portugal’s final group game with Georgia on Wednesday night, Owen believes Ronaldo is still scoring incredible goals.
He said (via Firstpost): “If I was the manager of Portugal, I was in the European Championships finals tomorrow, and I would still have to play him [Ronaldo].
“He’s still scoring incredible goals. He still sends shivers down the spine of anybody who is out to play against him. He still rises to the big occasion.”
