Como’s co-owner and assistant manager, Cesc Fabregas, is reportedly keen to sign Chelsea centre-back Alfie Gilchrist this summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Como are interested in signing Gilchrist on a loan deal.
The Italian club will have to battle Preston North End who are also in the race to sign the 20-yead-old.
Gilchrist broke through into Chelsea’s first-team in the 2023-24 campaign.
The centre-back started five of his 17 appearances across competitions, scoring one goal.
Meanwhile, Fabregas was a former Chelsea midfielder and could use his influence to lure Gilchrist to Como.
