Nigeria booked a place at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup after a comfortable 2-0 home win against Liberia on Friday.

The Flamingos won the final qualifying round contest 6-1 on aggregate.

Harmony Chidi, who netted twice in the first leg, bagged a brace for the home team in the encounter.

Chidi scored the curtain-raiser as early as the fourth minute.

The young striker doubled Nigeria’s advantage 27 minutes from time.

Bankole Olowookere’s side will be making their seventh appearance at the 2024 U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by the Dominican Republic.

The Flamingos finished in third place at the last edition of the competition hosted by India.
