The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that the last matchday fixtures in the Super Eight playoff will be played simultaneously.
The matches will be played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium and the University of Enugu temporary Stadium.
The NNL Chief Operating Officer, Ayo Abdulrahaman, said the decision to play the games simultaneously is to give fair chance to all the teams to play to their strengths without any bias or advantage.
He, however, added that the fixtures between Sokoto United and El-Kanemi Warriors, as well as Beyond Limits Academy versus Inter Lagos, will be played behind closed doors.
Abdulrahaman said that the idea is to avoid clashes between the supporters of both teams, who have the tendency to drive their emotions beyond uncontrollable measures in such critical matches.
In other fixtures, Sporting Supreme will face off with Nasarawa United, while Ikorodu City will battle with Madiba FC.
The group leaders will square up against each other to determine the winner of the 2024 NNL season.
