Real Madrid winger, Rodrygo, has named teammate, Vinicius Junior as the favorite to win the Ballon d’Or this year.

Vinicius led Real Madrid to win both the La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles last season.

The 23-year-old hit double digits in both goals and assists across all competitions for the Los Blancos.

However, Rodrygo sees Vinicius as the main candidate to win the top individual prestigious prize l.

He told Globoesporte (via Madrid Universal):

“We know that Vini is the main candidate to win it [Ballon d’Or] and I support this decision because he is my teammate.”

Rodrygo added, “It [Ballon d’Or] is not something that’s my priority, but it’s something every player dreams of.”
