Arsenal forward, Gabriel Martinelli, has tipped his international team-mate Vinicius Jr, to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
In an interview with ESPN Brazil, Martinelli said Vinicius “deserves” to win the prize.
He said: “It is a great pride to be playing with him, experiencing everyday life, seeing the special and deserving boy he is.
“We are very happy to see a Brazilian shining. In my opinion, he deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.”
Vinicius scored in Real Madrid’s 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in last weekend’s Champions League final, securing their 15th European Cup title.
In total, the Brazilian has scored 24 goals in 34 games in all competitions.
