Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be competing against Jose Mourinho next season in Turkey, as he is on the verge of becoming the new Besiktas manager, ESPN reports.
Solskjaer is in negotiations with the Turkish club and they are optimistic about a deal being agreed.
The former Manchester United boss has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford in November 2021.
Besiktas are looking for a new manager after Fernando Santos left in April.
The Turkish club finished sixth in the Super Lig, 46 points behind champions Galatasaray.
They were last crowned champions of Turkey in 2021.
If Solskjaer accepts the job, he will come up against Mourinho was appointed as manager of Fenerbahce.
Solskjaer replaced Mourinho at United in December 2018.
