South Africa forward, Iqraam Rayners has said Bafana Bafana can’t afford to lose against Nigeria.

Hugo Broos’ side will take on the Super Eagles in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying contest at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Friday.

Bafana Bafana have recorded one win and one draw from two games in Group C.

They are currently in second position in the group with three points.

Rayners stated that they want at least a point from the game against Nigeria

“If we can’t win, we must at least get a point in Nigeria,” Rayners said, as per Sowetan Live.

“Like the coach said, he wants four points from these two games but we will try to get six points. This is football and anything can happen, we might steal the game in the last minutes in Nigeria, you saw what happened at the weekend [referring to Pirates’ win over Sundowns].”
