Abia Warriors head coach Bethel Oji has singled out goalkeeper Ali Ishiaku for praise following the team’s win over Kwara United in the President Federation Cup on Wednesday.

The game ended 1-1 in regulation time with Abia Warriors prevailing 4-3 on penalties.

Goalkeeper Ishiaku made a number of vital saves in the keenly contested encounter.

“I will say bravo for goalkeeper Ali Ishiaku’s performance in the game against Kwara United,” he told the club’s media.

“That was a good display as he was the Man of the Match. No doubt about that as he saved us on many occasions he should keep that performance up.”

Abia Warriors will take on Sokoto United next in the quarter-final.
