Sokoto United have revealed the reason behind their decision to sack their former head coach, Mansur Abdullahi.

The club stated that the erstwhile coach showed persistence lack of dedication and commitment to the team’s objectives.

Sokoto United also accused coach Abdullahi of engaging in activities detrimental to the image and reputation of the team, management, and the state’s Ministry of Youths and Sports Development.

Sokoto United recently appointed his assistant, Peter Ajani, as their new coach.

Ajani will be in charge of the club at the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoff tournament.

Sokoto United will square up with Sporting Supreme in their opening match of the competition.

The Super Eight playoff tournament will run from 7-14, June 2024.
