Rivers Angels have been rewarded for their victory over Edo Queens at the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League Super Six playoff tournament.

DAILY POST recalls that Rivers Angels received N2 million for the opening day draw against Bayelsa Queens.

The Port Harcourt club secured a 2-1 win over Edo Queens at the Samson Siasia Stadium on Monday, where Florence Alexander and an own goal from Valentina Uroko gave them the win.

Emem Essien netted the consolation goal for Edo Queens.

The victorious Rivers Angels were rewarded with another N2 million for the win against Edo Queens.

With one win and one draw in two games, Rivers Angels currently occupy the top position with four points and will lock horns with Nasarawa Amazons on Wednesday.
