Heartland forward Onyekachi Okafor is optimistic the Naze Millionaires will maintain their top-flight status at the end of the season.

The five-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions currently occupy 19th position on the table.

Heartland have recorded six wins, 11 draws and 15 defeats from 32 games.

The Owerri club will need to win their remaining six games to have a chance of remaining in the league.

Okafor revealed that all the players are working tirelessly to ensure their safety.

“The team is motivated by the Imo State government in other for us to achieve our NPFL safety,” he told DAILY POST.

“We are very positive of staying in the NPFL at the end of the season.”

Heartland will host Gombe United when the league resumes this weekend.
