Fulham captain, Tom Cairney, has named Chelsea’s Cole Palmer as his Premier League Player of the Season for 2023-24 as the campaign set to end this Sunday.
Cairney also claimed that Palmer is the season’s best signing, citing his significant influence at Stamford Bridge following his transfer from Manchester City.
During an appearance on BBC’s The Players Channel podcast, Cairney expressed high admiration for the 22-year-old.
“I’m giving it to Palmer. I think Palmer is the Signing of the Season and Player of the Season,” Cairney said.
“He gets bought for £40 million and he has put the team on his back, literally. Even early in the season with them big penalties, he said no give me the ball. He’s been the star man.
“What he’s done in a Chelsea shirt is more impressive than what anyone else has done in my opinion.”
