Abia Warriors head coach, Bethel Oji, has revealed the importance of the club’s 2-0 win over Rivers United.

Oji believed that the win will boost their chances of survival in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Abia Warriors moved five points away from the relegation zone following the win.

The Umuahia based-club have garnered 44 points from 32 games in this campaign.

“I have been dreaming of the victory over Rivers United,” he told the club’s media.

“With the win I believe we can say our survival destiny is in our hands.”

Abia Warriors will trade tackle with Enyimba in a Oriental derby when the league resume next weekend.
