Former Manchester United player Louis Saha has expressed his fervent desire for Zinedine Zidane to take the reins at the club amid mounting pressure on current manager Erik ten Hag.
Following a disheartening 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, speculations have swirled around Ten Hag’s future, with names like Thomas Tuchel, Gareth Southgate, Roberto De Zerbi, and Graham Potter in the mix.
However, Saha believes Zidane’s unparalleled character and charisma make him the prime candidate for the coveted position.
In an interview with OLBG, Saha emphasized Zidane’s potential to inspire and elevate players, foreseeing a significant impact on the team’s performance and morale.
‘”Zinedine Zidane has the character and charisma to manage Manchester United,” the ex-United and France forward told OLBG.
“Zidane is the manager I would dream to have at Manchester United for obvious reasons, he would do well and he’s motivated to come back into football and I think it will be difficult for him to stay out for another year.
“So let’s see what happens, but his impact at United would be huge because a lot of players would see him as an inspiration, a motivation to excel and not just accept the standard they are currently at.”
