Chelsea have announced that Thiago Silva will leave the club this summer and sign for Fluminense.
This was confirmed in a statement published on the Blues’ official website on Tuesday.
It read in part: “Following four seasons with Chelsea, Thiago Silva will depart after our final game of the Premier League season against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge and re-join Brazilian club Fluminense.
“Chelsea have agreed with Thiago that he can join up early with his new teammates after signing a two-year contract with the Brazilian club.”
Thiago will begin training with Fluminense before his registration transferring on July 1.
The 39-year-old made more than 150 appearances for Chelsea and won the UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.
