Chelsea defender, Thiago Silva, is set to join Fluminense as a free agent this summer.

Silva confirmed this week that he will be leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of his current contract.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has now revealed that the Brazilian is set to return to his homeland.

Romano tweeted: “Fluminense are set to sign Thiago Silva as a free agent! Verbal agreement in place between parties.

“Contracts are being prepared and the plan is to get it signed in the next few weeks.

“Deal will be valid until June 2026, as @geglobo reported.

“Here we go, coming soon.”
