Former Dutch-based manager, Sunday Oliseh, has made his choice on which football manager is currently the best.
Many football lovers could easily pick Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the world, but according to Oliseh, Aston Villa boss, Unai Emery occupies that position.
This was after the Spaniard guided Villa to the semifinal of a European competition for the first time since 1982.
Aston Villa beat French Ligue 1 giants, Lille, in a penalty shootout at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Thursday to advance to the last four of the UEFA Europa Conference League where they will face Olympiakos.
Emery, a former Arsenal boss, became Villa manager in October 2022 after Steven Gerrard was sacked.
Oliseh, who is a one-time Super Eagles coach, was reacting to a post on X eulogizing the heroics of the Spanish tactician.
“Arguably the best coach in the world! Una Emery is simply phenomenal,” he wrote.
Aston Villa are currently fourth in the EPL standing with the hope of qualifying for the Champions League for the first time ever, courtesy of Emery.
