The Super Eagles of Nigeria will look to put an end to Equatorial Guinea’s impressive 10-game unbeaten run when both teams clash at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Sunday (today).
The Nzalang Nacional last tasted defeat on September 3, 2022, when they lost 2-0 to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Since then, Juan Micha’s have embarked on an unbeaten streak, with five wins and five draws.
Today’s encounter will be the first between both teams at the AFCON finals.
They have however met twice in the past with the Super Eagles winning on both occasions.
While the Super Eagles were eliminated by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the Round of 16 two years ago in Cameroon, the Nzalang Nacional made it to the quarter-finals, where they lost to eventual winners, Terangha Lions of Senegal.
