Super Falcons head coach, Randy Waldrum says his team will prove their worth as Africa’s best by beating the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in Pretoria next week.
The West Africans claimed a 1-0 victory over Desiree Ellis’ side in the first leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier in Abuja on Friday.
The Super Falcons totally dominated the game and were unlucky not to score more goals.
The two teams will clash again in the second leg next Tuesday.
Waldrum asserted that his team would get the job done and pick the ticket to Paris 2024.
“As for what I feel about the next leg, there is no difference if we would have won by two (goals) instead of one,” the American said during his interaction with the media after the game.
“I still feel like we have to go and get a result there.
“We don’t want to go and sit back and try to defend and hold on to this victory.
“I think we still want to show that we are the best team in Africa and we are the better team. I thought we showed that tonight, and we’ll show it again next week.”
