Banyana Banyana of South Africa head coach, Desiree Ellis has declared the team’s readiness for their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against Nigeria.

The African champions will confront the Super Falcons in the first leg of their final qualifying round tie at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday (today).

Ellis and his players will be looking for a favourable result going into the reverse fixture next week Tuesday.

“Firstly, I want to say thank you to SAFA and Sasol for making sure that we got here early and acclimatized.

“Even though we have got a heat wave in South Africa, it is a completely different heat,” Ellis told safa.net.

“We put in a lot of work at home and we have also put in a lot of work here. The players have come in and put all of it together. I am very excited about the training, commitment, and the effort.”

The game will kick-off at 5 pm Nigeria time.
