Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have recalled forward Marquinhos back to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners disclosed this in a statement via its website on Friday.

Marquinhos was recalled from his loan spell at Ligue 1 club FC Nantes.

The Brazilian will soon join up with his under-23 national team for their 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament held in Venezuela.

The 20-year-old made his Premier League debut in Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Brentford, before joining Championship side Norwich City on loan last January.

“We welcome Marquinhos back to the club and wish him all the best for th international tournament and his continued development,” Arsenal’s statement read in part.
