Former Rangers captain, Lee McCulloch has praised Cyriel Dessers for his positive impact in his first season at the club.
Dessers was on target in Rangers’ 3-1 victory over Hibernian at the Ibrox on Saturday.
The Nigeria international has been criticised by a section of the Rangers fans despite his impressive goals return.
The forward has scored 16 goals and provided five assists in all competitions this season.
Despite doubts over Dessers’ overall impact and performance level, McCulloch insisted he has the potential to carve out his own success story at Ibrox.
“Any player can write their own story,” McCulloch stated, emphasizing the opportunities available for Dessers to make his mark.
“Dessers is scoring goals, he’s done well, especially so at times in Europe,” he added.
