Manchester City’s former defender, Micah Richards, has backed Pep Guardiola’s side to win the Premier League title this season ahead of Liverpool.
Richards declared that Liverpool has no chance in the Premier League title race and insisted that Man City will win their sixth trophy this term because they have an ‘incredible record.’
At the moment, Arsenal is leading the league table with one point ahead of third position Man City and is above Liverpool (second position) on goal difference with only ten games remaining.
Previewing this weekend’s Premier League action on The Rest Is Football podcast, Richards also claimed that Arsenal must win against City at Etihad to keep their league title hopes alive.
Asked if Liverpool could win this season’s title, Richard told host Gary Lineker: “No, they are not going to win the league.
“I think it is Manchester City or Arsenal… I think Manchester City will win the league.
“It depends on what happens on Sunday. If Arsenal go to the Etihad and win…
“I think Arsenal have to win, I think they have to win. Manchester City’s record is incredible.”
