Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, says the team should not dwell too much on the defeat to Mali.
Mali prevailed 2-0 over the Super Eagles in a friendly at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Tuesday night.
It ended the Eagles 49-year wait for a first win over their fellow West Africans.
Dosu however said there is no big deal in the defeat as the game is meant to prepare the team for the task ahead.
“Losing to Mali should not be a major cause for alarm for Nigerians because it’s just a friendly game meant to access other players before the World Cup qualifiers commences in June.
“The players gave their very best but sometimes results might not come your way. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose, this is football.
“At this point, the coach knows where to improve upon in his team before the World Cup qualifiers.”
