Former Bayelsa United forward Robert Mizo has written a farewell message to his teammates and supporters after completing a move to Libyan outfit Al Hilal Benghazi.
Mizo joined Al Hilal on a three-and-a-half-year deal this week.
The 23-year-old forward hailed the supporters for their overwhelming support during his time in the league.
Mizo netted 19 goals during the 2023 NPFL campaign.
He also recorded 10 goals in the league this season.
“I want to sincerely appreciate Bayelsa United for giving me the platform to be part of the club, which is the bedrock of my football career and development,” he wrote on his X handle.
“Thanks to everyone who has contributed to my career from the beginning until this moment.
“To my former teammates and coaching staff of Bayelsa United FC, I will forever remain grateful for your support, advice and guidance.
“And to all my fans, both at home and abroad, I thank you for your support and for being part of my story.”
DAILY POST reports that Mizo had his first training session with his new club in Benghazi on Thursday.
