France midfielder, Aurélien Tchouaméni has criticized himself and his teammates following their international friendly 2-0 defeat against Germany on Saturday.

The Real Madrid star said Didier Deschamps’ side were outclassed by Germany at the Groupama Stadium.

According to him, his team couldn’t put their game plan in place during the encounter, adding that they need to improve both individually and collectively.

France went behind just 10 seconds thanks to a Florian Wirtz stunner.

Kai Havertz added the second goal for Germany early in the second half.

“I think we were outclassed in every department,” Tchouaméni said in a post-match interview with TF1.

“We couldn’t put our game plan in place. We came up against a great team. We need to do better, individually and collectively. It’s a wake-up call.

“There is no need to overreact either. We are aware of and confident in our qualities,” he added.
