Super Eagles defender, Chidozie Awaziem has reflected on life under interim head coach, Finidi George.
Finidi, a former international winger, has been placed in temporary charge of the Super Eagles pending the appointment of a substantive head coach.
The gaffer will lead the team in the friendlies against Black Stars of Ghana and Eagles of Mali.
Awaziem, who is one of the players already in camp for the games, has kind words for his coach.
“We are all getting along with our coach (Finidi) and basically he knows everything and he has been part of us. I don;’t think it will be difficult for him,” the versatile defender told the Super Eagles media.
“He has done amazingly well in his first training sessions and I believe we re going to have a good work with him.”
Awaziem further said the Super Eagles are looking forward to a good outing against Ghana.
“Honestly, we planning to have a good game against Ghana and we know the rivalry between Nigeria and Ghana, so we are prepared for the game.Football is not a game of fight but sports. We all want to fight for our country,” added the Boavista player.
Friday’s encounter against the Black Stars slated for Grande Stade de Marrakech will kick off at 5pm Nigeria time.
