Sunshine Queens have sympathised with their Delta Queens FC counterparts over their officials’ involvement in a ghastly accident on their way to honour the Nigeria Women Football League matchday 10 fixture against Remo Stars Ladies.

The Owena Whales disclosed this in a statement signed by the club’s team manager Kenny Odogun.

Odogun thanked God that no life was lost in the horrific accident.

He also prayed for the recovery of the victims of the accident.

He urged the Government of Delta State and the management of the team to stand solidly with the victims and their families.

The statement reads, “We must thank God for sparing the lives of the victims, it’s not the perfection of the driver that saved their lives, but the grace from above that supersedes every other thing.”

Delta Queens will lock horns with Remo Stars Ladies at the Remo Stars Stadium on Wednesday(today).
