To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Friends, Max has commissioned a four-episode game show titled Fast Friends, based on the beloved sitcom.
The show will be filmed next month at The Friends Experience interactive exhibit in New York, and will be produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Warner Horizon.

According to the show’s description, “From racing through Rachel and Monica’s apartment to darting across Joey and Chandler’s bachelor pad and grabbing a coffee at Central Perk, fans will relive their favourite moments while being put to the test with trivia, puzzles, and games that will challenge even the most devoted Friends enthusiasts.” The fastest team will earn the coveted title of “Ultimate Friends Fan”, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Friends first aired on 22 September 1994 and quickly became a massive success, running for 10 seasons on NBC and remaining a staple of the network’s Must-See TV lineup. The show has since continued to thrive in syndication and streaming, with Max securing exclusive streaming rights in 2021.
In addition to the game show, Max is commemorating the milestone by curating special collections highlighting memorable moments for each character and featuring the most-watched episodes.
Fast Friends is being executive produced by Dan Sacks, Bridgette Theriault, and Dan Norris, with Richard Burgio serving as co-executive producer.
