Former Leicester City winger Matt Piper has described Wilfred Ndidi’s goal against Southampton as a killer blow.

Ndidi, Abdul Fatawu, and Jamie Vardy were all on the scoresheet for Enzo Maresca’s side in a 5-0 win at the King Power Stadium.

With the result, the Foxes go four points clear at the top of the table with two matches left.

Stephy Mavididi found Ndidi through a cross which the midfielder headed in from six yards.

Piper said on BBC Radio, “The crowd were moaning when Jamie Vardy held onto it, they thought he should have shot.

“But Wilfred Ndidi comes steaming in with his sixth goal of the season. Southampton must be gutted-it is a killer blow for them.”
