Former Nottingham Forest defender, Kelvin Wilson, has warned Super Eagles central forward, Taiwo Awoniyi that the club’s fans are running out of patience.
The striker missed eleven Premier League games due to injury and this has hugely influenced Forest’s campaign.
The Nigeria international has started just one of the last three games as manager Nuno Espirito tries to manage his fitness.
He has managed just six league goals so far this season.
“Have we got time to be patient? Time is running out but we need him to start firing now. I know he’s been injured but the pressure is on and we need him to perform,” Wilson told Nottingham Forest News
“Ideally, we’d be mid-table and we could keep bringing him on for the last 20 minutes to get his fitness up. We don’t have the luxury to give him time, we need him to be scoring goals.”
Nottingham Forest now sit just three points outside the relegation zone at the moment.
