Porto manager, Sérgio Conceiçao, has claimed his Arsenal counterpart, Mikel Arteta, insulted his family as they lost in the Champions League last-16 second leg.

The Portuguese club arrived at the Emirates with a 1-0 defeat from the first leg.

However, before the first half was over, Leandro Trossard levelled the tie on aggregate.

There were no further goals in the game and it went to penalties, where David Raya saved twice to ensure Arsenal progressed to the quarter-finals.

Speaking after the game, Conceiçao was asked about his clash with Arteta at the end of the game.

He said: “Arteta turned to the bench during the game and insulted my family in Spanish.

“I told him that the person he insulted is no longer among us.

“Let him worry about training his team, which has more than enough quality to play a lot better.”
