Sporting Lagos head coach Paul Offor has warned his fringe players to improve their performance to get a chance in the first team.

Offor stated that the team’s impressive performance against Remo Stars in a matchday 24 fixture raised the bar for selection in the team.

The Tech Boys defeated Remo Stars 4-1 in the encounter.

The modest club have recorded three wins, one draw and one defeat in the second stanza

“The victory over Remo Stars sends a message to the players that didn’t play the game,” he told the club’s official website.

“If you want to come back into the team, you have to work and be ready to give more than what the players did on Sunday.”

Sporting Lagos will take on Niger Tornadoes next in a matchday 25 fixture on Wednesday.
