Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has said Ibrahima Konate will need to be assessed before their Premier League clash against Manchester City.
On Thursday night, the Reds thrashed Sparta Prague 5-1 in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
The only downer from the game was Konate pulling up following a quick break from the hosts.
Konate had to be withdrawn, with Virgil van Dijk coming on in his place.
Joe Gomez was also subbed off at half-time and while his withdrawal was purely precautionary, Klopp has admitted they face a nervy wait to see if Konate can play at the weekend.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Klopp said: “With Joe it should be fine. Joe was not planned but it was a possibility, so we did that at half-time.
“And Ibou we have to see. He said he thought if he keeps going then he could get injured. But we will find something there I’m pretty sure. So let’s see.”
