Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca is thrilled to have Wilfred Ndidi back in the squad, DAILY POST reports.
Ndidi made his long awaited return to action in the Foxes’ 1-0 win at Sunderland on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old took the place of Yunus Akgun on 73 minutes.
“I’m very happy. We need him, Wilf is so important to us so it’s good to have him back,” he told Leicester City’s website.
The Nigeria international was sidelined for over two months with a serious muscle injury.
The injury forced him to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Ndidi’s return is expected to boost Leicester City’s push for promotion to the Premier League.
