Shooting Stars extended their unbeaten streak to three games courtesy of a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Gombe United at the Pantami Township Stadium on Tuesday.

The hosts took the lead through Taiye Yusuf in the 28th minute.

Gombe United held on to the lead for the remainder of the first half.

Hadi Mohammed equalised for Shooting Stars 14 minutes from time.

Efforts by both sides to find the winner proved abortive until centre referee, Igwe Chilaka Ben from Rivers State, brought proceedings to an end.

Shooting Stars increased their point haul to 31 following the stalemate.

Gbenga Ogunbote’s side will host Akwa United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan in a matchday 24 fixture on Sunday.
