Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has said Arsenal and Liverpool must beat Manchester City if they must stand a chance to win the Premier League title this season.
Neville, speaking on Sky Sports, warned the Gunners and Reds not to rely on other teams doing them favours.
City came back from one goal down to defeat United 3-1 on Sunday.
The win puts them back within a point of leaders’ Liverpool.
Arsenal can go within two points of top spot by beating Sheffield United on Monday night.
City’s next two league fixtures are away to Liverpool next weekend before hosting Arsenal on March 31.
“I can’t wait for these next couple of games because we will find out really what these teams are about.
“City are the barometer, that’s who they have to try and knock off the perch. That’s what you have to beat them – you can’t say ‘well City might drop points at that ground’ if you’re not beating them yourself.
“You have to beat them if you’re Liverpool and Arsenal,” Neville said.
