Barcelona sporting director, Deco, has said the LaLiga club is in no hurry to find Xavi Hernandez’s successor.

In January, Xavi confirmed he will be stepping down from the role at the end of the season.

A lot of coaches have been linked to the Barca hotseat, which will become vacant in June.

But Deco, speaking with Catalunya Radio, insisted they have not drawn up a shortlist of candidates.

“We don’t talk about that because we are not looking for a coach, it is not the time,” he said.

“The season is not over. There is a lot we have ahead of us.”
