Calvin Bassey insists Fulham showed more character in their impressive away win against Manchester United at the Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Whites claimed a historic 2-1 victory against Erik ten Hag’s side.

It was Fulham’s first win at the Old Trafford in 15 years.

The victory also ended Fulham’s 11 away games without a win in the Premier League this season.

Bassey scored the curtain raiser for the Cottagers in the game, his first-ever goal for the club.

His international teammate, Alex Iwobi netted the winning goal deep into stoppage time.

“I don’t think you can just come here and overrun them. You can see the quality of the players they have,” he told Tribal Football.

“They have got top players and a top manager and players that can have an effect off the bench.

“But we were just at it more and I felt we wanted it more today. That showed in the way we played.”
