Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has suggested that the Red Devils sorely missed striker Rasmus Hojlund during their Premier League 2-1 defeat to Fulham on Saturday.
Recall that Hojlund, who had scored in Man United’s six previous league games, did not feature against Fulham due to injury.
Calvin Bassey put the visitors in front before Maguire restored parity for Erik ten Hag’s side.
But Alex Iwobi scored a late stoppage-time goal to give Fulham all three points against the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
However, Maguire wants Man United to find a quick solution amid Hojlund’s injury.
“He [Hojlund] has been a big focal point for us, but it is up to us to find the solutions and the areas we need to improve on,” Maguire said at his post-match interview after the game.
“It’s the story of our season, we have been injury-hit — as other teams have — and we need to find a solution quick.”
Man United will face Nottingham Forest in an FA Cup fifth-round tie on Wednesday in their next game.
They will take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium next weekend.
