Fulham manager, Marco Silva has hailed Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey after his side’s Premier League 2-1 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
Silva said Bassey and Iwobi are important to Fulham, adding that their goals were decisive for the visitors against the Red Devils.
Bassey and Iwobi scored for Fulham at Old Trafford to give Silva’s men all three points against the hosts.
“The two players [Bassey and Iwobi] that were at the Africa Cup [of Nations]. And that we miss them,” Silva told BeINSports after the game.
“They were decisive in terms of the goals. It just shows how they are important for us in the way I want to play, in our way.
“It is really nice to see both scoring goals and helping us to win.”
