Taiwo Awoniyi provided an assist as Nottingham Forest fell to a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Aston Villa.
Awoniyi passed a late fitness test to be included in Forest’s starting X1.
Aston Villa raced into a 3-0 lead through Ollie Watkins and Douglas Luiz (brace).
Senegal international, Moussa Niakhate reduced the deficit deep into first half stoppage time after he was teed up by Awoniyi.
Awoniyi, who was replaced after the break, has now scored six goals and provided three assists in 15 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
Morgan Gibbs-White further halved the deficit for Forest after the break.
The hosts however regained their three-goal lead a minute after the hour mark through Leon Bailey.
