Football pundit, Mark Goldbridge has claimed that Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland would not get into Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool starting team.
Haaland has been impressive since joining Man City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
The 23-year-old has broken different records, including scoring the most goals in a Premier League campaign last season.
The Norway international has been impressive also this season.
He currently has 21 goals and six assists in 27 matches across competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Speaking on his Saves Football podcast, Goldbridge said:
“I think right now, Jurgen Klopp would not start Erling Haaland for Liverpool.
“I actually think Haaland is the best striker, penalty box striker in the world.
“But the way that Liverpool play I don’t think that Jurgen Klopp would give up a Darwin Nunez, a Jota, a Salah or a Diaz for an Erling Haaland.”
“I think it would completely disrupt the way they play. The number nine for Liverpool is not really the focal point of the team,” he further stated.
