Nigerian football legend Augustine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha has signed up to the newly established CAF Ambassadors Programme.
Former Senegal forward, El Hadji Diouf, Ghana’s Asamoah Gyan and former Egypt midfielder, Ahmed Hassan have also signed up.
More football legends, community role models and other popular personalities will form part of the CAF Ambassadors programme.
Their role will include promoting CAF and African Football, as well as playing an important role in other activities including tournaments, charity initiatives, commercial and social events amongst others.
Okocha won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations title with Nigeria.
CAF will announce more names that will form part of the Ambassadors Programme in due course.
