Sporting Lagos midfielder Chukwuemeka Kalu claimed his mission is to help the club maintain their top-flight status.

Kalu rejoined the modest side in a deal until the end of the season.

The player was previously in the books of Sporting Lagos for the 2022–23 season.

“It’s not easy to make a return to the club, I want to work hard and help the club improve our position on the table,” he told DAILY POST.

“The recent victory against Rivers United will boost the team’s chances of going forward in the league.”

Sporting Lagos will welcome Bendel Insurance to the Mobolaji Johnson Arena next when the second round resumes.
