Former Cote d’Ivoire defender Emmanuel Eboue has hailed Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, insisting that the Napoli star reminds him of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

The former Arsenal star said this while warning the Elephants about the threat that Osimhen will pose to them tonight when Nigeria face Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

“He reminds me of Drogba; he has a bit of the same style,” Eboue told France 24. Drogba gave his all and weighed a lot on the defence, and Osimhen did the same.

“For a defender, playing against this kind of attacker is difficult; you don’t know what he is going to do. When a defender has the ball, he presses it at every moment,” Eboue said.

Osimhen has been impressive for Jose Peseiro’s side so far at the AFCON.
